A Summer of Code: Massive Success!

That's a wrap on our Mini Makers Summer Bootcamp, and we are thrilled to announce it was an incredible success! This summer, we had the privilege of hosting a vibrant group of students (ages 9-17) for a fully virtual and completely freecoding experience.

Our goal was to make coding fun, accessible, and empowering, and our students' enthusiasm was amazing. Building on the momentum from our 2024 Mighty Makers camp, this summer's bootcamp featured an entirely new curriculumdesigned to challenge both total beginners and experienced coders.

In live, interactive online sessions, our instructors guided students through four distinct tracks:

• Intro to Java: Beginners built a strong foundation, mastering variables, loops, and conditionals.

• Intro to Python: New coders explored Python’s simple syntax, functions, and powerful data structures like lists and dictionaries.

• Advanced Java: Experienced students dove deeper, tackling complex topics like data structures, multithreading, and even working with databases.

• Advanced Python: Our advanced group explored Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and powerful libraries like NumPy and Pandas.

We are incredibly proud of every student who dedicated part of their summer to learning and growing with us. The creativity and determination we saw in these live, virtual classes were truly inspiring.
